An Imaginary Man Poem by Jamie Ries

An Imaginary Man

I'm reaching out to an imaginary man,
who doesn't want to hurt me,
he just wants to hold my hand.

He seeks to know me,
inside and out.
So he digs within me,
to see what I'm about.

He has no judgment,
he's not blind.
He sees me clearly,
in his mind.

He loves me unselfishly,
kisses me softly,
makes love to me passionately,
never wants off me.

He's somewhere outside,
not of my dream.
But waiting for me patiently,
with some sort of gleam.

I have not met him,
But hope to one day.
I believe he's out there,
along the misguided way.
