And I Poem by C S Douglas

And I

Rating: 5.0

And I, the lonely I
Have found the stair the sky
To reach the stars and find you one
So we can have our lonely one
To hide and be forever there
In a delightful destiny
Just you and me…
Just you and me…

Beneath, so far beneath
A magic world of troubled fate
While we have entered through the gate
Of happiness and endless sate;
And while the world will fight in vain
Together in a sweet embrace
We shall remain…
We shall remain…

But then, I woke at last
And felt my heart was beating fast;
I realized I had a dream
I wanted to return within
For I have lost you now my dear
And we shall never be again
Forever near…
Forever near…

And I, the lonely I
Who found the stairs to the sky
Have lingered by my dream, and know
That you one day will come to show
For I'll await my destiny
Even if I shall fall too deep
In endless sleep…
In endless sleep…

And I
