But of course you dream, as so do I,
'bout the way things ought to be,
'bout the barriers that stand between,
like negotiating a riptide,
on a white-capped sea
'til the Moon turns the tide,
and, I take you away
from all that is grey.
And, If Just For A Moment...
I could wash away
the bittersweet teardrops
that warmed my lips
by your salted kiss,
how I would.
And, if only I could
turn that salt to diamonds,
on bended knee,
i'd ask for your hand,
your pulse, your breath,
be forever your man,
and take you away
from all that is grey.
And, If Just For A Moment...
all our dreams could bear life;
we'd sail past the barriers,
that occlude our desires.
For, ther' be no barrier, wider, nor stronger,
than the rush of my love for you.
And, together, my love
we would exodus far...
far from the grey,
and into the blue
clear skies, I would too-
if just for a moment,
a moment with you.
