And Then They Said Poem by Julinda Mia

And Then They Said

It pads along
and never ends
I Love You!
Said the sky to the earth.

What did you say?
I love youtoo!
Do another wonderful thing
You do.

the sky opened its windows
and let out all the rain.
He said, There you go,
But it's really quite plain.

No it's not said the
Earth to the sky.
Why yes it is.
Your miracles fly.

But i have so many
Sedentary things.
Just look at the trees,
they think that they're kings.

So royal they thing
and beautiful too.
But i guess they heop me
As they should do.

You water the plants
and make it shine.
You fill the seas.
The fish swim in the brine.

Then the sky interjected with
a comment about.
You see we couldn't exist
Without helping each other out.

You are my friend
and forever will be
We just have to make
the people see.

I know what you mean
It makes me cry.
the other dya
Little Big Chief died

They kill everything for
their buildings and roads.
They never realize,
they killed a toad.

Who do we ask,
To get us through?
The secretary of state
and the president too!

But how will we tell them?
Make our voice heard?
through the fish in the stream
or a flock of birds?

A gaggle of geese,
A flock of flamingos,
A pride of lions,
or a pack of dingoes?

Well we should be off,
there is no time to waste.
The world is in peril.
Please pick up the pace.
