'Angry Words'
written by Bryan Cobaris inspired by The Holy Spirit
In challenging times like these, it is great to see this surge in support and unity.
Different races are standing together on atrocities against the black community.
While we're on the right track, there are some who would prefer we stay divided.
They misuse words so the good intentions of others are purposely misguided.
A PROTESTOR is one that states and legally opposes the violation of rights.
Its not the same as a LOOTER that steals or an ANTAGONIST that starts fights.
A PATRIOT is one who loves this country and liberty they proudly proclaim.
But a PATRIOT also speaks up when every citizen is not treated the same.
A THUG is a slick synonym for the N-word often used referring to rioting blacks.
Others are called FANS while at sporting events as they commit the same acts.
Being a SUSPECT can be an instant death sentence when it comes to a certain race.
But MASS SHOOTERS can be arrested peacefully when they have a lighter face.
A GOOD POLICE OFFICER upholds the law; doing so with discretion and care.
A BAD COP sees poor people of color as pests who don't deserve to breathe air.
I could go on because there are so many words that belong on this list.
But its more important in this expression that the message isn't missed.
The beliefs of a user decides whether their words will build a bridge or a wall.
If we don't use them correctly, and come together then divided we will all fall.
