Another Lonely Night Poem by Ardimus Caldwell

Another Lonely Night

Another lonely night where I watch t.v alone
To have all these channels but nobody to share them with
To hold a laugh with on the funny movies
Not even somebody there to listen to the ESPN man talk
No one to fight with over the remote
I press the power button and watch all alone
I press it again and I turn it off
Another Lonely Night

Another lonely night where I eat alone
At the head of table with without a head to see it with
Table set for more
More than me but here I sit all alone
Another Lonely Night

Another loonely night where the fone has went silent
Not a peep at all
It's been quiter than me in this lonely place
No one I can talk to
Not even for a minute or just a few seconds
Another Lonely Night

Another night where nobody's in my room
To hold on to
To wrap my arms around
To tell that everything's going to be ok
So I turn
On my side
The moon has fallen asleep
It is alone as well as I am
I close my eyes just like the other nights
My lips untouched just like those other nights
Arms waiting for something to fill in the slot
Thy heart feel cold for someone to give it the fire it once had
I close my eyes once more ending
A Lonely Night

Very well written! ! I believe that it is in those lonely nights when no one is around is when a person truly learns about, themselves, life and what your purpose in life is. very touching. good work.
