Travelling in an overnight bus
I can't help making comparisons
Bumpy, Speeding,
Comfy, squeaking
Promising, frustrating
Exhilarating, depressing
And yet satisfying
Indelible impressions
Accompanied by forgettable moments
Made this year
Spicy, bitter and sweet
Tears and smiles
Made it delectable
May the coming year
Be as happy and
At times sad
A mixed bag
Of highs and lows
For what's rain
Without some sunshine
Darkness not followed
By rays and warmth
Happy new year
