I stare into the flame of passing twilight and see my path.
Transition brings forth new discovery, my eyes set upon the horizon.
The call of the water carrier fills my veins and a new beginning comes.
As the snake sheds his skin, so do I shed what I know and become anew.
I hear the wind rush past and feel the world shift beneath my feet.
as I blink the landscape is foreign when my eyes reopen but I simply smile.
One foot in front of the other I will explore, one step at a time find my way.
no longer a big fish in a little pond, I will grow even larger.
I look behind me in love from where I have come, I have made many friends.
I will return from time to time as the years pass by, I will remember.
The change inside of me is not something I can control, it is in my soul.
like the tide turns, and the air shifts direction, so does my destination.
