Arial Attack Poem by Lubem Aernan

Arial Attack

A whirl,
An encircling with powerful swirls,
While on surveillance,
A keen observation of target,
Noting every minute movement.

An Eagle; Lord of the sky
With penetrative eyesight filled with vision,
Its beak full of keratin,
Powerful wings clothed in magnificent featheriness,
Balanced on sharp, firm deadly claws,
A totem of authority and majesty
A King with castles in the skies.

Target locked and located,
It dives with speed its known for
A swift, sharp movement,
It hands its prey a firm grip
A quick, precise movement
The attacked struggles for freedom,
A violent struggle, but gives up.
A quick glance and it knows it has been overpowered.
A submission to a higher authority,
Amidst loud wails from onlookers
Who of course wail from a reasonable distance.

And as if nothing ever happened,
It ascends gloriously into the skies
Meal is secured,
Just as soldier ants come out of ant holes
In dire search of crumbs.
It then dawns on the victim that;

Nothing lasts forever.
