Arrival Of Rains Poem by S.A.M Momin

Arrival Of Rains

Rating: 4.4

By the window pane, in a
resting chair, I sit,
As the summer ends.
Watching over the lifeless
greens,
The dry n parched lands
+++
I close my eyes n i'm lulled
to sleep.
A loud rumble, & i'm
awakened.
Thunder it was or just a
dream, My
heart skips
for a second.
+++
Sleepy eyes slowly drift
towards the heaven,
And the sky just clicks at
me.
Oh! Was it a lightening flash,
Or my eyes betraying me.
+++
Hold on dear mind, hold on
+++
But sure the fireball has
hidden itself,
And its getting darker than
day. The
fragrant
wet earth is filling my
senses,
Or i'm just dizzy, cant say. +
++
Now now dear mind stop
playing games.
For I've begun to
hallucinate rain.
Not trusting my self, I
stretch out my hands,
To seek a reason to explain.
+++
Ever so gentle the raindrops
splash on my palms,
An answer to my divine
plead. No
my
imagination's not running
astray,
The rains have arrived
indeed! !
