Article Two, Section Four. Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Article Two, Section Four.

The highest seat, a heavy crown,
Can fall, if trust is broken down.
Article Two, Section Four, it says,
For the President, in measured ways.

If wrong is done, a grievous deed,
Like treasonous act, or planted seed
Of bribery's dark, corrupting hand,
Or other crimes, throughout the land.

The House will charge, the Senate try,
The truth will rise, reaching for the sky.
Conviction comes, a solemn sound,
Removed from office, duty unbound.

For leaders all, a watchful eye,
To serve with honor, 'neath the sky.
The Constitution, clear and bold,
A story of our nation told.
