Ashes - Poem by Bill Grace

'Remember man that thou art dust
and to dust thou shalt return, ” intoned
my childhood’s priest. With age has come
the simple realization that the ashes of the church
are totally different from what the interment industry
calls cremation remains or cremains,
just to antagonize me and my computer’s spell check.
