Asking For Your Love Poem by Marisa Nelson

Asking For Your Love

Into the oceans where the currents met,
making their way calmly next to the sun set.
Gazing upon this marvelous view,
two on a bench; myself and you.
While I anticipate this with all seriousness
avoiding all quietness I ask for a kiss.
Saying, 'Babe with this kiss will you take my heart?
I think I'm ready for a fresh new start.'
If we come together for this sweet kiss please promise me,
take my hand and say 'Baby you're the only one I'll see.'
And I'll promise to always stay true to you,
because you and I deserve this beautiful view.
