At The Center Poem by Marqese Dabbs

At The Center

Knowing my own time at the center of essence
Reflecting on the realization
The pillars of my heart chipping away
Like a star sitting in the sky bursting
Casting stones at my confliction
Crawling to love, falling for you
Lust dragging me down
Standing for what I feel
Calming within my eyes
I know we're on opposite sides
Conflicting attraction personalities
Living are own lives
I'm trying but you infected me
It couldn't have justbeen anyone
At the glowing center
I feel alive
A confession becoming undone
Feeling twisted and contorted inside
Shaping me once again
