Avowal Poem by JAY WALK

Avowal

Our Father who art
in heaven,
be my judge and act as leaven.
For all I know is that Cheshire cat grin,
Know not I whether I've sinned.

My first time with him was at 4,
An uneasiness I'd never dared to explore.
His words, oh Father! Dates in ice!
Not too much sugar,
just enough spice.

His caress-all through the age of 13-
if not for the Lion, would be my
only lean.
And his beauty, Father! He shook my world.
16 confirmed I was his to hold.

Oh Father! Between you, me, and
kith and kin,
I will burn
the way the ash rubbed
against his skin.
I was giddy father, as he held
my hand
For never was I treated like the only woman in land.

And when he held me Father, I couldn't stop the cry
For his kisses birthed a love
I could no longer deny.
When his tongue slipped in, I knew no regret
of the malice within he was doomed to beset.

And as I slurped His juices in
delight,
Our parasites whispered
Deals out-of-sight.

So thus began, the vampiric
trade;
Tears for (famed)art, bosom for shade.

But then Father, his visits grew few.
Some lovers here, some husbands anew.

All of this Father and I still hunted his loves,
All stories, poems, burnt in celestial stoves.
Oh Father! All I wanted as I watched them write, was
One touch. One embrace. Just One Bite.

And then it soured, Father, he could no longer cover the lie,
Wants, whispers all turned awry.

By time I realized the evil within,
was a flesh-hungry monster devouring in sin;
His words Father,
(I can never forgive)
"For without me, you've never lived."

He still comes by Father,
(I stayed)
I love him. I really do.
His love the only one I consider
true.

For who could spin better lying tales(poems!)out of me,
Lies are truth, atleast to
Some degree.

And as we lie covered in
Love's wine
I fathom you already know
who has signed:
Remaining here (with him)as
my cinders fall
is I,
(Your daughter)

THE WORST OF ALL.
