B R U S H Poem by Varchaswi Putcha

B R U S H

I splashed high
some sapphire hues...
they made the sky!

Below, I daubed
some light greens...
they became emerald meadows!

A wee behind,
I sprayed thick greens
to form dense forests!

i further whitewashed for radiance
On the silvery dancing Levin,
That usurped the bouncing blue brooks and rills,

Oh! there i spilled out
few black blotches,
That shaped into little birds to fly in the azures

Yeah...I got now in my lap
a beautiful oeuvre
of stunning hues!

While setting ready my elegant easel
for the art gallery……
ah, two drops of tears dribbled down my eyes...

like two parallel streams of cool ‘joy' and burning ‘pain'!
‘Joy', for having my brush pullulated into lush green foliage
‘Pain', for the lamentation of wild plantations under shrinkage
