Baby, Does The Boy Get The Girl? Poem by Nightshade Starlight

Baby, Does The Boy Get The Girl?

I can see you over there,
You've been staring at me for awhile.
That stupid grin on your face
When a boy sees a girl.
You have the looks,
You have the car.
So how about you tell me
Does the boy get the girl?
You're coming over now,
With that cocky walk of yours.
I sit back and smile at you pleasantly.
Waiting for you patiently
As your eyes look me up and down.
You think you're all that,
That you got it all down.
So tell me baby, does the boy get the girl?
You finally reach me,
A bright twinkle in your eyes,
That make hearts beat faster.
I stand looking you up and down.
I put my hands on your chest
And you ask in that smooth voice.
'Does the boy get the girl? '
I push you back, rolling my eyes,
Walking away from you.
Baby it wasn't meant to be.
