BARREN LANDSCAPE Poem by Luz Mary Giraldo

BARREN LANDSCAPE

If there were a woman in this landscape she'd be alone
if there were a man
he'd be a man alone.

Facing a tree
a bird trains solitude:
a dry singing.

The man and the woman alone
indifferent to the sky and the stars
listen to the bird singing.
