Battleground Poem by Kevin Eaglesfield

Battleground

Rating: 4.0

Once, on this lush
And level castle field,
Stood a mountain;
Desolate, wind scoured,
Scraping lightning from the clouds
Like a flint,
While my shaking arms
Kept the sky from falling.
