Battling And Rising Above Emptiness Poem by Joseph Sakyiamah

Battling And Rising Above Emptiness

Sometimes it feels empty,
Like the space in the heart of an orphan,
‎It feels so scary, like betrayal,
‎Not royal, just the burden of emptiness,

‎Scars are all written on loneliness,
‎Triggering as the soul is broken,
‎It whispers a token of stories of anxiety,
‎It feels unfortunate to speak of its words,

‎To shout with a voice no one hears,
‎Nobody listens, just my emotions,
‎Abusing with the stress it comes with,
‎With myself alone but like the sun,
‎I will shine and rise above.
