Be True Poem by Lyndsay Campbell

Be True

Rating: 4.0

Even through all the pain and the sorrow When hope slowly fades for tomorrow
Even after the coldest and darkest night
The sun still rises to shine it's light

Even after someone breaks your heart
Everything you've believed in was torn apart
Don't let it put out the fire in your soul
For love again will make you whole

Don't let this bitter world make you hate
Rely on your loving spirit before it's too late
Anger so quickly can consume your mind
Peace will soon be impossible to find

When they hate, still spread your love
When you need strength ask God above
Too many tears have I cried
But still I have beauty I dare not hide

Because there will always be evil in this life
Always there to stir up strife
Let it go or run away, just don't let it steal
The only thing left you've got that's real

Use your kind heart and beautiful soul
Make someone smile even laugh be your goal
That even though you've felt that pain
Still strength you seem to surely gain

What makes you rare what makes you true
Is how you still find a way shine your light
And never allow anything
To make you give up your fight

You never know who is watching you
So proudly be one of the few
Who rises up and is the better one
Otherwise this world might as well be done
