Be With Me Poem by Chris Prabu

Be With Me

Rating: 4.5

Can you remember
The moment we first met?
Two unknown faces stood among in crowd
And slowly glanced with each other with shy.
Oh god! A journey of a new life began..

Wait! Wait! Do you know that?
Some filthy morons measured the love
By the years they've spent.
How stupid? How evil?
Can it be measured so?
How do I explain
My eternal love to the heartless people?

The four walls of our room knows better
My everlasting pain and scars.
Our pillows know the torrent of tears
Running down from my eyes.
Why should I prove
My true love to the wicked souls?

How do I recognize and overcome
The disguised people with smiling face
And venomous tongue and thoughts
W ho cheat, stab, accuse and assault
Not me; but
The faith, love and the benevolent heart.

My heart is still
Beating by your fine memories.
Its pulling me to stay alive
For our lovable daughter.
Always be with me
When I encounter with a masked soul.
