Beautiful Love Poem by Matthew Ray Long

Beautiful Love

We are hunters and killers and lovers and poets.
We may live in hell, but we'll never know it.
Blinded by lies and truths and sun and rain.
With knees that creak and mouths that complain.
Hearts full of hatred and ignorance and love for our brother.
Made up of ideas and ideals and stupid little quirks.
Fated to suffer and toil and relax after work.
Looking for something that doesn't exist.
Please tell me of a heaven that's better than this.
