Because Poem by Tracy Craighead

Because

Abbey Road reminds me of you,
listening to 'Because' in the darkness
reaching for your body,
I can't see…
but I can't go wrong, any part of you
touching any inch of me…
signifies a glorious victory.

The mystery adds to my ecstasy,
You are my ultimate fantasy.
You were always there, easy prey.
Of course, you would never hold out,
never teasing….giving it away

You are beautiful, and God knows
I miss you….in the light of day
and in the blanket of night,
your absence looms,
crushing all in sight

I want to feel you again, and not just your kiss.
Not a sanitary hug when we meet.
I want you naked and in my bed,
feeling our heat.
Breathless and moving..... much faster now,
and just the thought of you drives me insane.

I need you, I want you,
Like a river, you flow through me
you quench my thirst….
I've lived in this desert too long
I'm parched and I need you to
nurse me back to health
feeding me whatever you have to offer
and I will be grateful for just one bite,
just one sliver.... just one sip
