Bed Of Roses - Poem by Bethany Maxwell

On a bed of roses you lay
For here you shall stay
Your time has come it is the end
For now you can not mend
Goodbye to the world goodbye to you
It is time to say Adeu
For the time has come for you to leave
It is a blanket of life you weave
For now you say 'I must sleep,
Although I shall not wake please don't weep,
For I am happy and my heart is steady,
I am now ready'
On a bed of roses you lay
For here you shall stay
