Before I Pass-On Poem by Quir Diing Jr.

Before I Pass-On

This is what I got
For you
My people
As I stand here
In the Sahara cold as
Antarctica
I know, your hearts
Will fonder for me.

Tell my son
Wherever he is
In the foreign land
His reactions, I know.
Less he will concentrate
But, son
“I protest your annoyance
Towards me”
Anyway, take my blessings
Neighbour forgive them and
Forget their wrong.

Your education
Not yours alone
As I join the new world
Happy, I will go like a king
For someone
I have left behind.

Build your world,
In it:
Your people belong
Like mother’s womb
Which belong to her foetus
Let me talk to God
As I arrive in the next
Few days
For my time, I know is passing
Strength He will give you
Let your heart fonder,
Not for me
Before I pass on.
