Before The Dinosaurs Poem by M.L. Squier

Before The Dinosaurs

Cockroaches
Move slowly
In Persia

Drunk on opium
And hashish
They hate
To fight.

I go to sleep
And remember that
They are the only
Survivors of

The holocaust

The hallowed cast

The haloed cast.
