Before You Sign Those Papers Poem by Louise Hernan

Before You Sign Those Papers

It's hard to open up now
I've pretended for so long
That I didn't care what happened
But honey - I've been wrong!

I sure don't want to lose you!
And I can't hold that inside
Not for one more minute
So to hell with all the pride!

I love you - don't you doubt it!
I know how cold I've been
But all I've really wanted
Is to hold you once again!

Now I don't have all the answers
Though I think I have a few
And if we could try together
I just know we'd make it thru!

We promised when we married
'For better or for worse'
So before you sign those papers
Please! Let's talk about it first!
