Being One Poem by Rasika Kalyanikar

Being One

Few thoughts have long left me,
Some caught, some at rest,
A handful even smear the very truth of my existence..
I close my eyes now,
I want to be curled up in the night's womb..
But fear grips me..
Would my sins and its holiness
find a way together?
I want to dwell in that sanctum..
The whispering leaves I want to hear not now,
Nor the kissing air I want to feel..
Let my softness blend in the roughness of your skin,
Thus leaving the bodies behind;
Becoming one being.....
