The face you look upon is never true, search beneath the masks façade and you will see
The girl you once knew is gone, she stepped out and is lost in a vast sea
She tries to be calm and collected forcing her feelings father down and deeper
She covers herself with fake expressions and it just makes her soul even sleepier
Never saying what she wants to say in fear of dissuading those around
Using actions and words that make others feel as if they wear a crown
Her confusion within causes commotion, every day is a new distortion
The things she wants to express, but can not, seem worse than extortion
I beg you now please open your eyes, look inside and hear her silent cries
In this already empty world it is hard for her to continue on living with all her lies
Look beneath the mask and you will see it is with you her heart wants to be
But everyday that’s goes by opens her eyes to see, you wont be the one bending down on one knee
And everyday she continues on wearing her mask fitting perfectly with her surroundings
And she lives her lie until the day she dies because everyday with you is so astounding
