Beside Oneself Poem by Doug Blair

Beside Oneself

Beside Oneself

Look at his eyes

There’s something not right

A glint of the crazed

And removed

He must speak of faith

And Heaven at hand

And Jesus, his Jesus

Most loved.

It misses the balance

I tellya so sad

And gambles on what can’t be proved.

But Paul has a following

And puts on the miles

Convincing

This Jew, once-removed.
