Between Awake And Asleep Poem by Adam Westwood

Between Awake And Asleep

I see you tonight,
As I fall asleep.
Lying cosy tonight,
In your bed asleep.
All tucked up tight,
On this freezing cold night.

I see your cheeks all red and rosy,
Its bleak but you're in bed and cosy.
Your eyes are of beauty,
The make you a cutie.
Your hair is fair,
Like your teddy bear.
I see your smile beaming,
I wonder what you're dreaming.

Now I drift,
Beyond awake and asleep.
On a raft,
Eating cake and counting sheep.

I hope to return soon
Under the new moon.
It is the only place,
I can embrace,
Your beautiful face.
