Beyond The Scars Poem by Emeka GOC

Beyond The Scars

Beyond the Scars

The mind builds a wall when the world is unkind
A quiet defense that leaves us behind
Feeling so helpless, exhausted, and small
Blaming the outside for every hard fall
Unmaking the CircleIt starts as survival
A fortress built deep in the psycheto guard against old pain
But soon, the walls close in) leaving you feeling entirely powerless
pointing at external storms, trapped in a loop of burning out
That is the trick of unhealed trauma
it tries to turn a past event into a current identity
It takes chronic stress and calls it a life
We need a breaking point for this cycle
We need immediate, structured ground to stand on
Reach out for guidance
Lean on the foundations built to hold you
Learn the coping mechanisms to face the distress
step out of the loop, and reclaim your name
