Bird Feeder
Crumbs in your hand,
a bird will peck, hurting you
not because it wants to,
not because it was 'brought up like that'.
A bird eats, not to cause pain.
The bird is hungry.
So it eats
not understanding that hurting that hand
will make it leave.
