That you run on all fours and then walk upright
Constantly confuses me as it already should.
You bark at a broken moon; I tap your shoulder.
Laughing in my face, you piss metaphorically
On my hardwood floors, leaving broken moons of poetry everywhere.
Ought I tell you anything? No, then
Yes, and then perhaps, but I know with strictest confidence
You'll regress into old habits, talking behind
My back. You appear suspended from the stars, a parlor
Trick. You have me when you leap
Between my bony knees while chewing holes in my new
Shirt. You're always in heat when I
Come in your mouth, although you neglect to piss there.
This is only your way. It's just
Who you pretend to be. Your words in panic mock
Me; you constantly howl at my pain.
I may be the rabbit trembling beside the pockmarked road.
I'll always remember who and what you
Are. I'll never be the murderous driver in your car.
This always everlastingly explains who you are.
