Bits And Pieces Poem by bob barci

Bits And Pieces

Lines go through my head.
Lines from an unwritten verse.
Sounds good.
Has my attention.
I want to hear more,
but I'm washing the car
and I can't write them down.
Catchy titles
pop into my head.
Got the perfect verse
to fit that one.
I could go on forever
writing about this one.
Gotcha with my title,
even I want to see what I come up with,
but I'm on the road
and can't stop to write.
Thoughts race through my head
for a million poems.
Possible lines gather
for each one,
but I can't write them down
cause I'm on the phone.
I'm too tired to stay awake,
so another poem gets away.
Hey, that's a good line,
but, not in this poem.
Bits and pieces come all day.
They visit my head
and play with my thoughts,
but they leave too soon,
leaving me stranded, on the side,
without any paper
to write them down.
