Black Poem by Abednigo Pitso

Black

Black my pride
Black my country
Black my freedom
Black my redeemer
Black my Africa.

Black my starvation, hunger and poverty,
Black my liberal tongue
Black my rainbow, my shelter,
I was born black as an African citizen and I will die black
Africa my beginning,
Africa my ending the origin of fear is beyond danger
Hope is reunion, this is life the effects are hard.

Today I say black my colour
Black my success
Black my will of living
Black my ideology
Black my fade, humbleness and strive
This is Africa my beginning,
My ending
We are all born here and.......
We will die here.
