Black Bodies Poem by Molefi Kau

Black Bodies

Is it fate that's unkind
For Pretty and collegues
To be held hostage
Trapped inside
an ugly metal box

Laying sideways
In a huge pit
Of the Lilly mine

Is there no more
Tall crane in the sky
To lift the square peg
Out of the round hole?

The dream of the elders
Is for their soul's
restoration
And human dignity

Will they be
Ever laid to rest
