Black Ceilings Poem by Mikey Estrada

Black Ceilings

Sitting in an empty room full of my pains and sorrows, not knowing if I can make it to tomorrow.
I only said those word because I wanted you to know someone cared.
But I guess my lonely heart wasn't worth the risk of being shared.

Call me a mistake but I was willing to do anything it would take. I wish things never changed. But just like the alphabet U & I cannot be arranged.
I remember you from the times that were good and if I could get the chance to go back I would.

A friend like you comes ever so rare. Just in the nick of time as I was sending out a desperate flare.
Promise me I'll be someone never forget, I hope I'm not that one person you regret.

I miss you and hope we can become friends once again, hoping we can capture everything we ever had there and then.
