It's amazing how easy
It is to let go
When holding on
Is all that I know

A heart never healing
Nor whole to begin
This is the price
That's paid for my sin

It's true that I asked
For far too much
So no more of that
Do all that you want

It's impossible
For you to heal
Something that's
Not even real

Which is why
I take the blame
Upon myself
I'm the one in shame

For not seeing clearly
For not hearing clearly
For not thinking clearly
For not knowing what is really
True

I never lied
At least to you
But to myself
I think I do

There's no sunshine
At least not yet
This black eclipse
Still casts its net

Given time the dark will pass
Then will grow trees, flowers, grass
The world will once more have it's charm
And never spread a touch of harm

I ask you not to look till then
Lest ugliness be seen again
I leave the last word for you to claim
Unless you'd like to keep up this game
