Blame Poem by Brian Jefferson

Blame

Me looking like the villain
Is not to appealing
Because I’m not willing
To take false blame
In order to cover your shame
About a life you treat as a meaningless game
I have had enough of your deceit
So now I’m going to retreat
Without a receipt
Leaving me without record of your lack of common sense
I’m glad you were able to show me this
Because I now see what I’m up against
Throughout my course to maturity
I’m in need of purity
Hopefully being guided thoroughly
Making precise movements
Therefore achieving steady improvements
To tie up all my lose ends
Now I’m at the end of the road
It seems your excitement to point blame has slowed
You have finally realized you can only blame the person you truly know
