Blessed By Tha Darkness Poem by Charlie Brake

Blessed By Tha Darkness

Rating: 1.5

Blessed by the darkness, the fear holding tight
When I'm blessed by the darkness, that's the time I see the light
Blessed by the darkness, creeping on me inside
Blessed by the darkness, choking onto my fright
Blessed by the darkness, I cannot explain
Blessed by the darkness, I feel a twisted, dark pain
Blessed by the darkness, I can't lift this feeling
Blessed by the darkness, that I'm dying, not healing
Blessed by the darkness, I'm left inside this ridden cave
Blessed by the darkness, I'm the creator of the game
Blessed by the darkness, now it feels I'm being followed
Blessed by the darkness, for the curse of the hollowed

I leave the darkness, for we have no trust
I leave the darkness, for I know I must
Just when I think, I might safe
I get pulled in like a riptide, with its vampire cape

I found I skipped the Blessed by the darkness in each sentence in order to follow the story. It is a clever use of repetition to remind you of the theme.
