Blind Hippo Poem by Fahim Arshad

Blind Hippo

Closed eyes restrains one from seeing the light,
By keeping it shut, the day will feel like a night.
Ignorance, the best remedy for self-satisfaction,
Reality will feel like an imaginary nightmare.
Blind person sees and feels through his skin,
Thus, a blind hippo is the most cursed being,
People's shrieking cannot pierce their skin,
Cry of hunger, poverty, inflation doesn't even strain,
Heavenly utopian world is where they think they live in.
The world is filled with blind hippos,
Only the second coming can save from them.
