Blood Poem by Jay Bigger

Blood

Red and strong
Thicker than water
The most valuable liquid
Unlike any other

You see
I don't understand my blood
Where does half of it come from?
It runs through my veins
Leaves me in discomfort

Some people spill blood
As a result of torture
But it doesn't take away the pain
Just leaves a reminder of what they've went through

Blood passes through the heart
Keeps it beating on
Blood, it's complex
Red and strong
