Bloodshot Stare Poem by Luis Steven

Bloodshot Stare

Don't stare at me with those bloodshot eyes.
Did you think you could beat the sunrise?
When he's become familiar with your petty lies.
When he knows the tears you cry.
Stare, all you want, all you can.
The Sun knows, he understands.
Stare, til you can't see any more.
Stare, til you reach the floor.
And when your eyes cant bare the sight of you anymore.
Stare at your heart, your inner core.
Find your truth and ignore the lies.
Cause only you can know your sunrise.
