Blurry Poem by Jose Armando Guzman

Blurry

All I could hear was the voice
that has long since haunted me.
'Tucson to Cuidad Juarez now
boarding'.
I knew that as I held your
body close to mine,
it was going to be the last time
I would stare into that
dark sea hidden in your eyes.
I took a deep breath and
tried to hold on to the
memory of you fragrance.
Everything is now so blurry;
your memory has long
since faded.
