Borrowed Life Poem by Don Bukana

Borrowed Life

With each breath, I feel the weight
Of borrowed time, a silent debt
To those who've passed, without a trace
To all that's gone and that's yet to face

We come and go, in waves of grace
And we, the living, hold the space
For all who've lived and all who'll come
As we dance in the light and we beat the drum

Our hearts beat on, through pain and joy
Through fear and hope, through doubt and faith
As we step into the unknown
We face the truth that we are not alone

We live and love with all our might
For one day, we must leave this world behind
And when we're gone, let us leave behind
A legacy of love, of hope and of light.
