Brave King? ? ? Poem by Sabareesh.P.A Raja

Brave King? ? ?

Once upon a time lived a brave king,
Brave enough to watch stray dogs bite him.

He had a smile in his face, which was a known myth.
He smiled only when he was alone in the court.

He loved the queens, but they all disliked him.
Their kings would not allow that.

He always carried a bag to war,
In which he kept pepper sprays.

Back in the castle, he never slept alone.
He opened the doors for the same stray dogs.

He rarely bathed in summer,
To save water for the kitchen.

His ministers were fools,
for they tried to implement hygiene projects in the kingdom.

His subjects hailed him,
for every war that he lost, Due to lack of spray cans
He still smiled in lonely.

He dreamt of fantasy wars,
Dreamed about flying horses with fire sprays and pepper balls.

One day a wise man visited the kingdom,
He suggested the king to build a dam, across the river.

The king blinked his wide opened eyes,
The complete courtyard fell in silence,
His ministers kept their fingers crossed,
And gulped at each other.
The dogs started to bark.

Stood the king and spoke,
"I shall try, But I do not know,
Whether I can build it all alone"
The trumpets blew, all hailed the brave king! ! !
