Breakdown Poem by Dashaun Rashod Snipes

Verse 1:
Trembling hands, racing heart
Mind going wild, tearing apart
The weight on my shoulders, too much to bear
A storm inside, I can't prepare
Chorus:
A breakdown, like a shattered glass
Pieces scattered, no escape, alas
Falling apart, in the blink of an eye
Can't hold on, can't even try
Verse 2:
The walls I built, now crumbling down
Cracks on the surface, a broken crown
Tears flowing freely, can't hold them back
Every emotion, I can't even track
Chorus:
A breakdown, like a raging fire
Burning within, consuming me entire
Trying to hold on, to what was once strong
But the pieces keep falling, don't belong
Verse 3:
Thoughts chasing each other, in a maze
Lost in the chaos, trying to find a way
To hold onto sanity, slipping away
A breakdown, a price I have to pay
Chorus:
A breakdown, like a melody off key
Lost in the darkness, can't even see
But from the ashes, I'll rise again
Stronger, wiser, this is not the end
Verse 4:
It's in the breakdown, I find my strength
In the pain, I'll go to any length
To rebuild myself, from the ground up
A breakdown, but I'll never give up
Chorus:
A breakdown, a blessing in disguise
For in the darkness, I'll find the light
And though it may feel like the end
A breakdown, is where I'll begin.

So let the tears fall, let the storm rage
