Brother Cecilia Poem by Olawale Owoeye

Brother Cecilia

Who lied that you're better than Solomon?

If humanity allowed some heads of dollars in you gluttonous account,
Would you not take even the women in the womb?
Would you not pay Delilah's bride price?

If fate crowned you the glowing brambles like a true crown,
Would you not sleep with vultures and date the carcasses of the earth?
Would you not marry the most favored fruit?

Brother Cecilia!
